The government has recently launched an online tool, ‘Act On CO2′ to help people calculate their carbon footprint, in campaign against global warming. Few of the features are customisation to individual or household requirement, integration of home, electrical appliances and personal travel details and user specific advise based on data of the individual. On an average, the annual contribution of CO2 foot print of indvidual in UK is 4.48 tonnes. The initiative will be of much help in arriving at the individual’s environmental impact and also reduce GHG emissions.
